Proposed Change to the Trinity Assembly of God
Annual Business Meeting | November 2, 2025

The following is a proposed bylaw change to be voted on at the 2024-2025 Business Meeting to be held 2:00pm, November 2, 2025 at Trinity Assembly of God.

Motion to Amend the Constitution and Bylaws

Whereas, the Constitution and Bylaws of Trinity Assembly of God provide the framework for church governance and leadership; and

Whereas, it is the desire of the congregation to ensure impartiality, broad representation, and the avoidance of potential conflicts of interest within the Deacon Board;

Therefore, be it resolved that Article [X], Section [Y] of the Constitution and Bylaws be amended to read as follows:

“Only one member of any immediate family may serve on the Deacon Board at the same time. For the purposes of this section, ‘immediate family’ shall include: mother, father, husband, wife, son, daughter, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, niece, or nephew.”

Be it further resolved that this amendment shall take effect immediately upon adoption, in accordance with the procedures established in Article [Z], Section [W] of the Constitution and Bylaws.
